Susan E. S. Ferguson was born in Maryland, but ended up in the Bluegrass State in grade school and graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in Philosophy. She has been playing piano by ear and singing since age 3. She has performed live in the Cincinnati area for the past 20 years as a solo pianist/vocalist and has played with several local bands including “Live Bait and the PocketFishermen,” “Soul Progression,” “Working Class Villain,” “1969,” and “Three’s Company.” Opening up for the classic soul band, The Chi-Lites in 2004 and the regional reggae favorites, The Zionites in 2014, her musical experience and taste spans decades and genres.
Performing at the Taste of Cincinnati, The Cincinnati Zoo, as well as The Cincinnati Home and Garden Show for four consecutive years, she has participated in dueling piano shows and also been a featured member of the Cin-City band for the Jeff Ruby Group. She has been a regular solo performer at the University Club, The Brianza Winery, and has performed at Belterra Casino and Racino. When she’s not playing music, Susan enjoys time spent with her family, her three boys, reading something philosophical, exploring conspiracy theories, knitting, or cooking.
